Recently discovered You Tube videos of me playing at the Roy Clark Theater way back in 1990 with Glenn Campbell's daughter Debbie Campbell. Here is a video of the show with Bob House singing. Bob House ran Loretta Lynn's Publishing Company for a while. Bob won a Grammy for writing the song "Could I Have This Dance", which was a Number one hit for Ann Murry. Here is link to the video. Back when I had black hair.

Keith, black hair and in your prime. Seems like the older we get, the faster the time goes. Seems like yesterday? I hope your doing well. Keith, I never would have recognized you. It was great to be young. Fine job of playing for sure. We visited the Roy Clark theater when it was a dinner show back around the 80s. |

Thanks to all my friends who can play steel guitar way better than I ever could. Duane Dunard, Terry Wood, Bruce Zumsteg, Fred Justice, Larry Dering, Dennis Detweiler, and Russ Weaver.
I did the best I could considering my limited talent. I see some of these young players master the steel guitar in a short time. I am a slow learner, I couldn't even wave "By By" until I was 19 years old.
I did not know these videos existed until a couple of weeks ago. Debbie Campbell, Glenn Campbell's daughter was one of the headliners on the show. The Banjo player was a man behind the stage with electronic sensors all over his face, arms, legs and body. The puppet made movements from the sensors on the guy. It was the guy's hands playing the banjo. They kept that puppet in a coffin type case behind the stage. I could walk by 20 feet away and glance at that puppet and I swear that puppet was staring at me. It was really creepy. Here is a video from that show when they pointed at me and I had to play something on Foggy Mountain Breakdown. Buy the way, when I hired in to play that show we never rehearsed at all. You just came in and played behind what they sang.
