I'm a 3D printing nut, and always finding ways to solve minor problems. You know, things like "my cat keeps knocking all my steel picks onto the ground".
I designed this little pick holder to stick to my Fender dual pro (with finish-friendly adhesive putty), and found that one added bonus is that I can put all my picks on in one motion, making me the quickest draw in San Francisco!
You can see my blog if you're interested in getting a "Wongco Quick Draw Pick Holster" 😂
There's also a short video of this in action on my blog post: https://www.paniquejazz.com/2021/02/09/steel-guitar-pick-and-bar-caddy/
Edit: now two bar options available: for up to 7/8" bars and up to 1" bars.

Great idea. Just what I need for a small table (damned cat!)
I may use some velcro so I can move it to different places. Or I'll just buy a couple now. Have to cogitate on that. Any volume discount for two? |

I knew there were cat people in the steel community
Sure, if you purchase two I'll refund you $4 via paypal (sorry I don't have a more sophisticated way of doing this). Steel guitar forum special!
Edit: I should also say that the adhesive putty (included) is actually pretty easily removable and reusable, you might only need one... just detatch, re-stick it at your second location. |

Vic - Just wanted to write and say I've been using my pick and bar holder for awhile now and it really is great. Since I play lap steel I've got one on my night stand for practicing there and the other on my desk downstairs for practicing there. Keeps everything right where I need it. Really fine product. Here's a tip - I put a couple of drops of peppermint essential oil on the one in the bedroom and the #$%@! cat hasn't bothered it at all!
Here's a challenge for you. How about a small box for carrying picks and bar in a gig bag or whatever. Maybe something with the thumb pick in line with the fingerpicks and the bar laying down next to them with some kind of lid. I'd draw a picture, but I can't attach one to this. Anyway, you've probably got a better imagination than me |

Very sorry for not replying sooner, Cliff. Lost track of this thread.
But thanks to Tommy reaching out, I do offer 1-inch bar option now. See the store link. Also, so glad to see people are enjoying these. As one of my local steelers told me "this is something I didn't know that I needed until I had one"

Is it possible to make an option so the unit can attach to the leg of the steel guitar |

This is a good product. I have two of them. I use it all the time. It fits nicely between the necks of my D-10 Emmons p/p. I'm assuming he still makes them. Thanks Tommy..... |
