I have for sale a 1930's Gibson TB-11
tenor banjo for restoration or a conversion project..the bones are there , it needs some elbow grease, these banjos are in the stratosphere so here is a good opportunity to get one that needs some TLC.. note the original flange is bent and has a repaired crack in the metal.. comes with the original case in poor condition , but still usable.. asking price is $2400.00 plus $60.00 shipping ..Pay Pal "friends and family"... lucybobkat@yahoo.com Call 570-829-7908

Cousin to this one. Clearly only played by amateurs.
That particular “amateur” played that particular banjo with the most legendary iteration of Bill Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys. |

Hah hah until Mr. Monroe told him to get a better banjo..true story.
I have two of these one cut rim and the other with the original hoop ring.. this will make a great conversion or play it tenor the way it is..they don't make'em anymore...if original metal an excellent price..you should take a picture or the Dolmar trademark of the flange near the heel...not trying to take away a donation from SGF but I bet you'd sell this banjo right away posting on the Banjo Hangout.. anytime I see one on these I get the sweats...can't have em all...enough from me _________________ Old Emmons D-10's & Wrap Resound 65, Standel amps!

yes that tb-11 would make a great conversion Banjo. Same parts as a Mastertone but minus the tone ring, I have a '34 style 1 conversion. |
