After 1.5 years of waiting, my new guitar is slowly getting ready. Now Peter Schild, fom Schild Steel Guitar, called me and wants exactly my tuning charts in cents.
Has anyone figured this out how the Sweetener from Peterson is setup ( EM 9/ EP 9/ EM6/ EP6?

For any help I thank you in advance. Here is my Setup

A while back, I checked the offsets for EM9 and EP9, and these are the offsets I wrote down. I don't play C6, so never checked those.

EM9
F# = +4
D# = -10
G# = -11
E = 0
B = 0
G# = -11
F# = -15
E = 0
D = 0
B = 0

EP9
A = -7
A# = -10
C# = -17
D = -20
D# = -10
F = -26
F# = +9 / -22
G = -15

To my knowledge, Peterson hasn't made these numbers available, but there is a way to obtain them if you have a model tuner that will generate tones. I set my StroboPlus HD to generate tones, and ran through all the notes in each setting (EM9 and EP9) while checking the frequency with a phone app. I used PitchLab Pro, but there are several others that will do the same thing.

On the Peterson tuner, EM9 is pedals up, EP9 is pedals down for pedals and knees only and matches the chart I posted really close.

This is useful info to know, I’ve been wondering about which program to use on my LLG III.

If you go to the Peterson site and do a search for tuning tips scroll down about halfway and they list a number of different charts. https://www.petersontuners.com/media/pdf/StroboFlip%20For%20Steel%20Guitar%20edited%2012-2014.pdf

I have a Peterson doocument (PDF File) of all the presets, including Emmons and Newman.

E-mail me and I'll send the PDF file.

I tried to just copy the Emmons and post it here but the way its laid out I'll be until tomorrow culling out just the Emmons parts.

(FWIW I tried both the Emmons and Newman Sweetened on my GFI and the Newman won out).

SE9 & SP9 are Based on Newman's tuning. The offsets are the same as OE9 & OP9, except the entire tuning is raised by 9.8 cents. SC6 & SP6 are also Newman tuning, and I believe have the same +9.8 cent relationship to OC6 and OP6. I've read that the premise behind raising everything by 9.8 cents is partially to compensate for cabinet drop, and partly to "center" the tuning. With OE9, you have to bar a little above the fret to make all the flattened offsets sound in tune with other instruments.
