I’ve been working on getting this guitar for a couple weeks and I finally brought it home today. 1977 LDG, 2 up 2 down changer with 2 hole pullers. It’s missing the collar bracket to hold the pedal assembly on the rack and has a crack in the cabinet near the changer, but I think it will be a fun project and a guitar I’ve always wanted. It looks like the previous owner liked to tinker a bit. Wish me luck and patience!

From the bottom edge of the apron, This guitar may have been a true green LDG, And has darkened to a light brown.
Put a post on wanted to buy for that pedal rod holder or,
If you are handy with tools, A couple drill bits, hacksaw, file and piece of aluminum should be easy to use the other end for a pattern and make another.

| Yes, it was once the standard LDG green. I was thinking about a refin but other than fading the finish isn’t bad. I have a couple feelers out to see if I can locate a collar bracket, if one can’t be found I’ll figure something out. |

Congrats on the Bud Jon! Nice guitar! That guitar was probably tobacco, they offered it in several colors other than green. The green normally fades to a blue, never seen one fade to a brown.

Ooops, just saw the bottom of apron, it was green, somebody must have stained over it.

| Thanks for the help and comments. The guitar looks brown in the photographs but there is definitely a dark green tint to it. Still on the fence about whether to change it. I have parts coming from Michael and couple other places, it will be interesting to see what happens when it’s fully assembled. It definitely could use a good cleaning and polishing. |

Good luck with your LDG. Yours was born 3 after mine. My SN is 11639. I moved both LK levers to the left to suit my movements. Mine is also green, and the little fading was caused by the sun. Just keep it out of the sun!!!
