I have been looking at Peterson StroboPlus HD tuners. Today I was looking around online, and all the major sellers like Sweetwater, Guitar Center, and Musicians Friend show them out of stock and/or discontinued. I may be able to find one on eBay.
Do any of y'all know what's going on with this seemingly very popular tuner? I'm not interested in a tuner on the floor, but the Strobo Stomp is still readily available.

There is a new model coming out, according to a newsletter I got. No date on when. It apparently has been discontinued and just remaining stock Peterson has is all that's left. |

I got this reply from their customer support this afternoon:
"Thank you for your contact. The StroboPLUS HD is discontinued from our factory but still available at many retailers.
We have a new desktop style unit launching this summer to replace the StroboPLUS HD. Details will be available in the coming weeks. Please watch our space."
Stay tuned.
I'm going to look around for a StroboPlus HD. I like them. As sure as I buy it, I'll like the new model better, but that's the way it is..... _________________ Steeless. |

Lately I've been using a Peterson StrobOClip HD. Small clip on type and at least half the price of the PlusHD model I loaded my StrobOPlus HD steel guitar programs in the Clip. Clip it on a keyhead and it will work for both necks (if you have a D-10). No guitar cord needed. |

Thanks Jack. I was looking at those too. Do they come with pedal steel presets like the more expensive tuners, or can the presets (such as the Newman presets) be downloaded for it? I guess these pick up vibrations? _________________ Steeless. |

It doesn't come with steel presets, but they can be loaded, or better yet load my "all in one" (opens and pedals/knees in one preset) based on the Newman Sweetened presets. |

I managed to find a StroboPLUS HD at Sill Music - and I bought it. There are a couple around on other web sites, but they are getting very scarce. _________________ Steeless. |
