The string on my Shobud pedal broke a while ago. I sent it to the only repair man in town, he’s notorious for taking FOREVER. I eventually just told him to give it back to me. He messed up the side screws pretty bad, but the nut and bolt are a common size. I can ship it to someone but it honestly would help if i could send it off in person. I’ll pay any named price, as long as its reasonable. Just need someone to clean it up/ get it working correctly. Thanks!

I have one of my own, and I repaired one recently. I can help you out if you’d like. |

I have never worked on a Sho-Bud Vol. PED. Repaired several other makes of V. Pedals over the years.
Look on the other side of the pedal. Most pedals have a brass bushing/bearing that fills the big hole on the top piece, And a hole in the center of the bushing that matches the small hole in the inter bottom piece. Some pedals use bolts, And some use a smooth steel rod that runs through pedal and has a lock screw in the top, That locks the shaft. You must go up form the bottom of the pedal to loosen or tighten the set screw on the shaft.
Ace Hardware has Brass Bushing that have a flange on the end. If there is enough space between the top and bottom flanges. The flange may fill the space and tighten up side movement in the pedal.
Take the pedal with you to the store, A store employee and you may be able to match parts to repair it with.
Good Luck and back Happy Steelin. |

You might check with Billy Knowles in Kenansville N.C. He usually has pedals that he repairs and may have parts. Billy is a SGF member. |
