Jamming to a bit of rock & roll on my D8.

I've never tried using gain on a Stringmaster before, but it handles it ok.

Very nice!
I have a single 6 string version which is called the Deluxe 6(?). It has the same dual pickups and blend pot and just screams with gain, and sounds equally good without.

Some of the earliest distorted rock steel (to my knowledge) was done on a Stringmaster by Glenn Ross Campbell in the mid sixties. First with the Misunderstood. After the band broke up he formed Juicy Lucy. I think you can find live footage of Juicy Lucy performing on YouTube with closeups of Glenn wailing on a Stringmaster. He also recorded with the Dirty Blues Band.

Just throwing a Little Rock Stringmaster history at you!

Nice playing David!

Nice playing - love the tone, too! What amp and any pedals did you use?
