Hello Friends,
I am still in search of my first pedal steel guitar.
I love that vintage sound from the older PSGs, but I am not sure what companies still make parts for the older models.
Does Sho Bud or Emmons still make parts?
Any other older models that still make parts?
Thank you,
Eric |

Neither Emmons or Sho~Bud still make parts. Both have been out of business for quite some time. But, that doesn't mean to exclude them. Sometimes there are parts available from other sources, may be difficult, but still possible. And there's also the option to have a machine shop make you the parts, although that could get pricey. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Yup. Great source, but he doesn't make every part and is very often out of stock on certain parts. He needs to clone himself a couple of times to beef up his staff. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Nobody makes every part not ordered. Michael is IT...there's nobody else that makes "Correct" parts for almost all models. He's super busy and runs out of parts cause he's the only one left alive that is doing it. NO; you're not going to get some Machine shop to duplicate an original part for less than a bazzillion dollars. If you are not a builder of pedal steels and already have Michael on contract for almost EVERYTHING; you just have to order and practice patience like a normal human.
