for sale is a 9 string lap steel. i have made several of these. why 9 you might ask? well lap steel players like a wider string spacing and 9 strings fit very nicely over a george L E66 pickup. guitar is made from 30+ year old maple and walnut. all other metal parts are aluminum. volume and tone controls are 500K with an .047 cap for tone adjustment. finish is nitro lacquer that has been wet sanded to a satin look. could be buffed out to gloss if you wanted to do that. scale is 23". real frets used for fret markers. fretboard is machined from the center section and the headstock is not cut out like other builds. this makes for a very strong neck with lots of sustain. i will be glad to have a set of strings sent to me so i can install them and use your tuning to set up the string depths at the nut and bridge at no charge. price is $475 plus $25 to ship it. any questions, please email and not use PM. i can send more pics if you like. here is an audio sample of the guitar. nice jazzy tune called "spring is here" click on "download". media fire is a safe site. thanks. https://www.mediafire.com/file/1oqjp85b485ex7e/02_Track_2.mp3/file

Well done, Bill. Just curious as to the tuning you used on the track. Thanks. |
