Hi all,

I'm looking to see if anyone can help identify this and figure out the tuning for this pedal steel. I picked it up cheap on craigslist and thought it might be a fun project.

Beyond those two brass "Texas" plaques on the front it has no name. It's also 8 string +4 string (bass?) with 7 cable pedals. Besides the knobs and pots being a little noisy, the pickups and everything seem to work pretty good. It's beat up, but seems well crafted.

Anyhow I've scoured the internet for answers, which brought me here. If I could hazard a guess, maybe a late 40's early 50's multi-kord knockoff? But nothing definitive.

It may be a lost cause, but I'd at least like to TRY to maybe tune it up and play it.

Anyhow, any help, ideas, thoughts or theories would be much appreciated!

All the best and TIA,
Rob Mullin-

It looks like either a Multi-Cord or a Gibson Electra-Harp changer on it.
