Very nicely done! Music and video are both excellent, and it looks like a fine, fun bunch of you.

I list as an ancestor a Leonard Robertson, born in Glenrothes Scotland (1791). So if I ever get to the point I feel comfortable calling myself a steel player, I'll ask to become an honorary member! Laughing

As a foreigner who has been made to feel very welcome at a couple of the Gartcosh steel guitar meetings in years gone by, I can say without hesitation that these gatherings are a great example of camaraderie and friendship. Players of all levels attend, and all are fully appreciated.

Davie - love your YouTube clip. Very Happy

Wonderful video. I could tell you guys were having lots of fun.
You and I probably share some DNA other than this wonderful instrument.
My mother’s maiden name is Holland. I take after her side of the family quite a bit.
Thank you for sharing your video “cousin”.

Hi Dan..good to meet you (virtually). Us Hollands sure are a creative lot..and going by the looks of it, your steel seats have the required quality to be "Holland Built" lol..
So glad you like the video and my playing.

Maybe one day I`ll get back to Dallas and we can meet in person cuz!

Stay safe and take care out there!

Enjoyed your video of all my Scottish brothers. They tell me I belong to the clan Gunn. I was hoping to visit Scotland this past summer but with the Covid it didn't happen. Maybe next year...

Hi Larry

Thats so interesting as my middle name is Wilson, which is associated with the Gunn Clan and also the Macfarlane clan which was also my mothers middle name. A fellow clansman and a cousin within two posts...might be time to get a clan re-union!! Look me up if you get over, and make sure its at the end of the month as thats when our steelie meet is..last Tue of each month. You will be made most welcome.

That looks like the Trig on top of Ben Nevis unless I am mistaken? I talk to Willie Gamble often but unfortunately Brother Reg is not faring well. Not looking good I`m afraid.

Sharp eye Davie! Quite a hike.. I just received a note from Brother Bill McKillop in regards to Brother Reg's diagnosis.. saddened to hear say the least. This time of year Reg usually goes to Thailand for holiday as I recall. Will be thinking of him...nice tribute to the steel association also.
