Starting out so trying to get these 3 things that seem pretty necessary!

Looking for a decent volume pedal, pedal steel bar and a pedal steel seat.

Ryan..Have an 'Ernie Ball' volume pedal, older model with jacks on the side. No beauty queen but works really well and pot is quiet..'George L' stainless 7/8" bar, good condition...Both for $100.00 plus actual shipping.

Hi Ryan,
Here's a couple of products that are made and sold by SGF members:

Glenn Taylor makes a very nice volume pedal that he sells at a very affordable price. Here's his website..and he lives in Denver. I have one of his moyo volume pedals and am very happy with it.

and a craigslist ad...

Michael Hillman has a line of steel tone bars that have a powder coated surface. I suggest you try them out. Here's a link to his
SGF posting...

I've bought a couple of Michael's tone bars and am very pleased with the ease of holding the bar and what they bring to the sound of my pedal steel.

I second the moyo volume pedal recommendation. I also have a Hilton which is better, but not enough better to justify the price. The moyo is cheap, works really well, is tiny, and is built like a tank.
