Eddie, I have a D10 classic and will get you an accurate measurement tomorrow. I believe Michael Yahl has these springs in stock. His website is Pedal steel parts. |

I got my MSA out and measured the springs. From the anchor screw to the finger hook slot at rest against the stop bar is 2 1/4 inches,(63mm).on the E9th and C6th changers. The original springs are nickel or chrome plated on this steel on both my MSA Classics.
There is someone, (May be Mike Yahl at Pedal Steel Parts), That makes a setup with adjusting screws to allow precise adjustment of the return springs. May be good to consider if you are doing a complete rebuild on a Classic MSA.

I measured from the top of each hook at their anchor point on the screws. I get 56mm or 2 3/16 which is just under what Bobby measures. I'm sure it's where we make the reading. I used a calipers.

Thanks guys, this is very helpful. I am in the process of changing a non pedal to pedals. I am using an old Classic MSA changer and it has been giving me fits, so thanks again. |
