Rick, I bought a lightly used Cube 80 a few years ago for 300, so sounds like you got a real deal. It is sturdy and small and light.
My main gigging amp is a Nashville 112; but for "spread" I sometimes use the Cube too. I run a line out of the 2nd input on the Peavey, to the Roland.
I use the Jazz Chorus side--no amp modeling. It is a great little amp, with its effects and a looper. My at-home wood-neck MSA sounds brighter through it, to me almost a Sho Bud tone.
Let us know how it works out.

I use mine for rehearsals, I should say, when we were rehearsing . I use my Nashville 112 for pedal steel but the Roland sounds great for lap steel when set on the Fender black panel model. I use it for telecaster as well and it gets pretty loud with good clean and distorted tones plus the on board effects aren't too bad. Oh, it's pretty light, too. |

I have an 80x and also an 80xl. I like them for steel and guitar both. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |
