building some lap steels for some nice folks. here is a six string. headstock is angular deco design. strong as heck! will look great when lacquer is applied.
stare at it and it will play tricks on you. |

the back uses two "ledges" for the gears machined out of the wood. MUCH better than hoggin' out a lot of wood from the back of the head. makes for no flex in the headstock and keeps the string sustaining much better to leave the majority of the body thickness through the head area.

You're not kidding about the strong as heck part! That's got to be the most solid wooden head I've ever seen. Looks great, too. I love the Art Deco styling. |

yes. have made 6 8 9 10 12 and 14 string lap guitars. |
