I had a copy of his steel album entitled "plays the FARR out of it". That was a long time ago and never thought I'd hear that name again. |

I first met Tony when he was hanging around the Dallas area. He would sub at the "Big D Jamboree", the Levee, and did several tour dates with Eddie McDuff & Orville Couch. I believe he also worked for Tony Douglas for a while. A good player and a funny individual. Back in the late 60's I and my wife had Tony Farr over on a Sunday night for fried chicken and taters. I think he was with George Kent at the Hogan in Colorado Springs that week and the next.
Nice fellow.

RIP Tony! We met him at the Flame cafe in Minneapolis many years ago. Yes, we bought his record, play the FARR out of it!
