Couple of things I have noticed that aren't really issues, but I'm interested if you agree...
The reverb...I think it's great. They modeled it perfectly imo. However, it's very strong. I don't see how anyone could play over 4 setting. I play it between 2-3 and any more goes off the charts. Seems like a waste of headroom. I wish they would update it to give it more sweep.
Speaking of the update, has anyone done one? Are there new versions? Maybe the reverb issue has been updated..I don't know.
The other item is the attenuator feature...I love it. I almost wish you could access it from the front panel....lol

Chris, I have not done the updated download on the reverb, but I'm ok with the version that came with it. But I also plug in a Wet Reverb into the left channel (the one without effects), so that gives me a quality reverb that has more adjustments then the onboard 'verb.
I totally agree with you on the attenuator switch. I posted here some time ago that I wish it was re-engineered as a pedal option.
It's nice for me, as an example, to play steel thru one channel, with the attenuator set for a lot of headroom (for example, 40W or 85W), but playing harp or an overdriven guitar or lapsteel on the other channel, I might have it set at 5w or 12w.
Stomping on a pedal would be a cool way to do it on the fly.

I’ve downloaded the reverb upgrade, and I think it’s a significant improvement. Try it, if you don’t like it, press a button and it’s back to original.
I agree with your initial assessment. With the upgrade, the long decay tail is shortened, and the control seems to have a more linear taper , or “sweep†Its more usable on higher settings, and easier to fine tune.
Fender tech support was helpful, very easy with their assistance.
I think you will like it, YMMV. |

No like I said , I like the onboard reverb. But I also like having adjustable reverb for the left side, so I have the Wet over there. And a delay pedal.

In response to my own post, there's only one firmware version listed on that page for the blonde version (for the black version there is the original, and the update)
I'm assuming it's the one I have.. I hadn't noticed the reverb being too touchy so far, so maybe that fix is already in the blonde ones with the original firmware..
EDIT: Doh!! ... the Blonde firmware even says it's got the reverb mod.

I found it interesting that on the blonde Twin, the volume only goes to 9, and they have OMG! instead of 10.
And Bass is spelled phonetically as 'Base' so as not to confuse with the fish.
