I was active in the Hawaiian Steel guitar scene many years ago, but I'm selling my Remington D8 now for health reasons. I ordered this guitar directly from Herb Remington, at his home in Houston, in 1998. I haven't touched it in years and hope it finds a good home here at the forum.
I've tried to show all of the relevant specs in the photos. It's an 8 string dual 24" guitar with 3/8" string spacing. It has George L's E-66 pickups, and the strings are 1/4" above the pickups. The sound and tone is just fabulous.
In addition to the guitar itself, I've included the following accessories:
1. An SKB Hard case with keys
2. A Goodrich Volume pedal with cables
3. Steel bar & assorted pics
4. An electronic tuner
5. An electronic metronome
6. The two volume VCR set of Herb's non-pedal instructional videos (you might have to rent a way-back machine to play them).
I've priced the guitar and accessories to sell at $975. Shipping is extra and will be quoted when sold. If you happen to live in Las Vegas, I'd be happy to deliver the guitar for free.
