I have a Rickenbacker Model B, 1946. Everything on here looks original, including the tuners. Does anyone have pic of or know what the original tuners were on these? Mine has three on a plain bar, white plastic buttons. |

Rickenbacker used a bunch of different tuners over the years. You're best off posting pictures of yours so we can have a look. |

While I have seen similar-looking tuners on a handful of Bakelite Ricks, I don't think these are original. It looks like the screw holes don't quite line up; are they close enough that you could get screws into the outermost holes? On top of that, the screws holding in the gears aren't all original to those tuners, so we know that some parts have been replaced. |

Mine has metal tuning keys.
This is an earlier model.

Here's a photo of the tuners on my Rick Bakelite, ca 1945-49. I think they are original but not positive.

Greg - those tuners are definitely later than the steel, probably '70s or after. |

Not going too far out on a limb here to opine that since the holes don't line up, the tuner strips on the OP's guitar are not original. Bakelite is known to expand and contract with temperature changes. But not quite to that extent. |

I am looking at your guitar and I believe it is original.
I had an identical model but I would describe the color as cream rather than white on the plastic buttons. |
