I love those Epiphone Electars, I got one of the first ones and play it a lot.
Here's my version of Aloha Oe. The first verse is played on an acoustic Weissenborn copy by Anderwood and the second on an S-10 GFI https://vimeo.com/430460777 _________________ http://jimfiegen.com |

Not that it really matters to me but Youtube have slapped a copyright claim against this video! People can still view it and I don't monetize videos...... but this song was written in 1888. How would this be possible? |

I did a lot of public domain searching on Aloha Oe before I recorded it.
I agree with you 100% on it's status.
I even grabbed a copy of the original song sheet on the web.
I use the site below a lot to research PD music and have found them accurate and helpful.

Andrea Tazzini, Thank you for those kind words.
Mike Fiegen, Thank for the link to PD music. They do confirm that Aloha Oe is in the public Domain. Not sure who would have copyrighted the piece for YouTube to flag it? |
