So...not perfect. Played it much better when the camera wasn't on. But if I waited for the perfect take, I'd never show anyone what I'm aiming at.
Here is an example the types of chords you can get on the Eddie Alkire Eharp tuning. This month's tune on Learn Jazz Standards.

Very nice, Bill. That's a tough tune, I would think. The ten strings would throw me! Thanks for posting. |

Thanks Joe. It is actually a fun tune to play on the eharp. The chord choice opportunities are endless. It was interesting to see the reaction of the members of Learn Jazz Standards since they really are unfamiliar with the sound of steel guitar. They liked the sound, but it was unique to them.
For those interested, the chords I'm playing are Fmaj7, Gm7, C7, Am7, Abdim, Am7b5, D7b9, D7. |

I can absolutely hear what you are getting from the tuning - very nice changes. I'm broke right now, but you've got me shopping for eharps! |

Thanks Doug. Working on a tutorial for it now. Joe, no, just 10.
Thanks Travis. Absolutely, I could never go back now. I hope to get a tutorial up going over the chord changes and the options for improvisation |

That would be very interesting to see.
Also, I remember seeing a post of yours where you explain where to get the Alkire method printed out, but I can't find it now. Can you please repost the info?
Thanks! |
