What's the easiest way to find these minors on C6th? Just use the key of C as an example. Where is the II, III, and VI minors in the key of C?

Pedal 6 changes the C major to a C minor. Avoid the 2nd string.
Or you can use the relative minors, no pedals. The root is on the 8th string (A). II minor is at the IV fret. III minor is at the V fret. VI minor is at the I fret.
There are lots of other ways to get minors, but those are the simplest.

Do you know how to play I, IV and V?
Then you know how to play VI-, II- and III- respectively. They are on the same 6h chord positions.
Again:
I Mayor is VI minor too.
Thus, IV Mayor is II minor too
and therefor V Mayor is (one up) III minor.
The root to the relative minor chord is the 6th note of the Mayor chord.
Hope this is of help... J-D. |
