For those out there with the desire to tinker for the sake of tinkering...
Since I have a Mullen with exotic faux red dragon bamboo and pearl inlay, I installed these pearl tuner buttons to add to the look. Of course, they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s neat to think that there are small details you can change that really affect how your guitar looks. Cheers!

Not my cup of tea, but then neither is pink. Have to admit they look good together, though.

Thank you! That’s the best I could hope for. I have no designs to do this to any other steel guitar (or Spanish guitar, for that matter). But, I felt like this particular instrument called for it. It’s a polarizing finish to start with, so I thought I’d go “all in†with it.
I’m sure ebony buttons would look classy on the right steel. |

When I first put them on, I wasn't 100% sure about my choice. But, after a few days, it really grew on me. I'm definitely keeping them on there! |

| Looks great. I think I remember when this steel was for sale, I wrestled with the notion of buying it myself. I never thought of the color as polarizing (or pink). I guess it reminded me of an old barn wood look. |

Thanks, Jim! I'm lucky I ended up with it. I was drawn to it because I thought it was unique.
Regardless of its appearance, it's the best guitar with a modern undercarriage I've ever owned. Plays great, easy to keep in tune, and better tone than I'd even hoped for. |
