Did Valco, Kay, or other Midwestern manufacturers make any 6-string National, Supro, Kay, or Silvertone lap steels in the 40s - 60s with neck scales 24” or greater?

I have newer guitars w/ 22.5” scale, and based on other guitars I own and those I’ve seen, typical models of that era are all 23” scale.

Looking for ‘one more lap steel’ w/ 24” or longer neck to use w/ tunings I like that aren’t great for slant bar playing, specifically Brozman’s Double C.

I know Gold Tones are 25”, but I’m trying to find something used for around $400.

You can add eharps to that list as Valco made all the post epiphone models. And all 23" scale.

The original Tonemasters (which the Gold Tones are replicas of) are in the 25" range. Some of the English Electronics branded guitars are in that range, too. The old National and Dobro cast aluminum guitars are also 25" scale.

Valco Tonemaster, or even better, Oahu/Valco Diana - most Dianas have the string-through pickup that sounds so good, some Tonemasters do. All within your budget. If you can't see the pickup in the ad for one, the string-through version has a removable pickup cover with thumbscrews and the non-string-through has just a screwed down cover. At least, I believe that is true...
25" scale....
