Yes way cool; but PLEASE don't call it a "Dobro".!!!
Dobro is a Brand of a Resonator guitar.
This is "what I would properly call it" a:
"Hudson Pedal Resonator Guitar".
Very Happy Very Happy

I own guitars from both of these guys. Jimmie and Johnie are both great builders. These guitars look amazing and mighty tempting.

Calling this a Dobro; is the same thing the IDIOT Producers and Record labels in Nashville call what they are recording and marketing "COUNTRY MUSIC" and it is NOT!!!!It's bad '70's rock and roll....so don't call THAT Country music; call it what it is.
Ricky

Hasn't Dobro become a common short hand slang term for all square neck resonator guitars?

I get your point about branding and I certainly wouldn't want someone calling a Sho-Bud an Emmons but where I'm from, if I called my Hudson a "Pedabro" or "Resonator Pedal Steel" I'd be getting a lot of blank looks...

Mine is basically the one in the 3rd picture but it looks like the newest one has a really sweet pearl inlay.
