Ever once in a while the subject of Leavitt Tuning extensions comes forward. Back in 2005 I experimented with a 10 string Leavitt tuning and the detail is on the undernoted Tablature. You will see that the basic/exact Bill Levitt set up is incorporated on strings 3 thru 8 inclusive. On the sound clip you will hear a triplet effect in several measures. Look for the "X" which means the note is blocked with the thumb pick leaving the top 2 strings sustaining ie 3,2,1 in that order - block 3. It must be done quickly (like a flick) so to speak. As a note, the tab is not perfect in a very few instances but is a good road map for learning and understanding. For those interested I generated this Tab with Windows Paint program and find it very flexible with practically no restrictions. Yesterday is one of the greatest compositions ever written and is a pleasure to play and learn.

Wow. I enjoyed that. And respect your ability and talent. I’ll never pursue a tuning like that, just not enough days left for me, but it does inspire me to keep after my musical interests on the road I’m on. Thanks!
