I HAD THE DISTINCT PLEASURE OF SITTING FOR ABOUT 2 HOJURS IN BRUCE'S SHOP WHILD HE WORKED ON MY GUITAR. IT WAS SIMPLY AMAZING TO WATCH THIS MASTER CRAFTSMAN WORK. NEVER EVER HAD TO LOOK FOR A TOOL OR A PART. HE KNEW WHERE EVERYTHING WAS AND ALL HE HAD TO DO IS REACH AND GET WHAT HE NEEDED. I LEFT THERE WITH A FINE TUNED INSTRUMENT THAT PLAYED AS GOOD AS IT LOOKED. THANKS BRUCE......CALRK |

Everyone should read his book - it ought to be called Perseverance Pays Off. It's an inspiring tale. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I agree Ian. Bruce's book is a great read. I started reading it again last night for the 6th or 7th time.
Bruce also has birthday coming up December 11th. |

It wouldn’t hurt my feelings one bit if Bruce decided to make a few new guitars now and then! Just saying....I’d certainly help fund his retirement lol. |

I begged him to come out of retirement and build one more guitar....for guess who??? You got it.... for me... he politely declined. But he and I had a very long, engaged and sincere conversation. Having never met him personally I was super impressed by the man. When he was building guitars I coveted them. I couldn’t afford one. Bruce and his instrument are a valued piece of the pedal steel history.
P.S.
Bruce after all of my kind words, will you build one for me now? Welcome to the forum. _________________ Rittenberry Prestige D10, Dekley S14U, (stolen) ZumSteel D10
