Shout out to Herb Steiner

I bought this record back around 1981 when I was living and playing music in Austin. But it wasn't until a few days ago that I realized that "Herbert Steiner on the pedal steel," was our own Herb Steiner.

Herb, I assume that is you on the pedal steel?

My daughter just graduated from Texas Tech in Lubbock last year and on my advise attended a University show with Lloyd Maines, Gary P. Nunn, and Bob Livinston and got me a really nice autograph from Gary on the program.

Hey Bill; actually that was Michael Hardwick on Pedal Steel on the "Nobody But Me" album. Herb was already a huge famous Austin picker at that point; so Gary P. Sang about him; but yes Herb Steiner played many years with Gary P. and who do you think taught me how to play with Gary P. when I started in 1990(yes Herbster) and I played until I joined Dale Watson in 1996.
