Just got this yesterday. It has extended pedals (longer pedals)and its raised an inch. Fits me perfect. Bill can build a custom steel to fit bigger players and it makes a HUGE difference. I am 6 foot 4 and have size 13 boots so stock pedals are a real challenge. Bill fixed that issue for me.

| Thank you. It's my second Williams guitar and I'm sold. Bill is the only builder I communicated with that actually does custom modifications. It's really nice having a guitar I don't have to fight to play. |

Nice Willy, I noticed on a previous new Williams (same color) that one had anodized changer fingers. https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=361315
I really do like the extended pedals. Thinking about getting one myself in the future.

| Bill called me about those changes. I liked the polished fingers. I think he will be offering a choice on that. The longer pedals are a game changer. Makes for a much better playing experience. |

Some years ago I bought a couple Williams guitars.
I felt the knee levers weren't long enough for comfort and Bill made me a set of longer ones.

| Were any changes made to the dimensions of the instrument since your taller? I can imagine those longer pedals help out a lot. |

| Yes, Williams offers multiple leg lengths. So my guitar is raised one inch but it's not a kit, the pedal rods and legs are actually made longer so I don't have the extra hardware on my guitar. It's very nice not to have to mess with extenders etc. |

| Oh thats cool. Im guessing yours is probably at 28 inches? Im 6'3 and that was the big issue when I started looking at ordering a new steel, I have to have something up higher. |

The back apron of my guitar is 28 inches from the floor. The legs are 27 then the pedal bar and rubber tips make up the difference. I have a LKV on it and with the proper adjustment I can activate it very easy.
I understand about issues when ordering. Some will use a kit and some are not interested in talking about any modifications at all. |
