I’m posting this for a friend who is not a Forum member.

Now $1,300 plus shipping.

“I’m told now by a knowledgeable Forumite, that the Stringmaster is a 1956 model... evidenced by the push-button neck selectors and rounded knobs. I wasn’t sure that I remembered the year anyway. I’m old!

This Fender Stringmaster was bought for me by my dad, apparently in 1956. I took lessons for a while. I was sickly back then and after a few lessons, just lost interest in it. I quit playing. I have hauled it around everywhere I moved for the past 60 plus years.

In 2012, I decided to take refresher lessons from a guy named Jim Chapman in Mesquite Tx. He helped me get back to playing it again. In 2014, I remarried and gave it up again. We just don’t have room for it anymore.

Steel and original tweed case are in excellent condition.

Yes, with leather bindings on ends.

Red fluff interior lining.

I have the owner sending me a picture. Don’t wait. This is heating up fast. Lots of interest.

Are the push-buttons and selector switch working correctly? Any scratchiness or intermittent issues with their operation?

The push-button switches used to select the necks, work perfectly. No noise; no scratchiness or other issues.

Thanks.

Bud.

To answer Forum questions:

The scale on this Stringmaster is 22-1/2”. This is the most desirable scale for bar slants, since the frets are closer together.

The body of the guitar has its share of nicks, dings and bruises. After all it is over 60 years old.

Lots of questions; lots of interest. The guitar is still available.

I wonder how difficult it would be to convert that to a 3 position Tele switch?

Any electronics whizzes out there?
