Just found this live version of “Back On The Chain Gang†with strings. Kind of like a Left Banke/baroque thing.... very cool

It’s one of those timeless hits. I enjoyed this rendering very much. She sounded great then, and still does. Thanks for posting. |

Really Good! Hard to imagine that the song would make it into the top-twenty today, like it did back then. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Right on, Godfrey. Chrissie and Martin can still lay it down. But the original band, WOW! _________________ MCI Arlington S-10 3+5, George L E-66, BJS & Emmons bars, Fender Stage Lead II 100W 1x12, Fender Satellite SFX, custom FX rack, 1983 Dobro 60D, Martin D16GT, Ibanez AS73, 1978 Rickenbacker 4000 custom. |

They looked so good! James Honeyman-Scott was a big Beach Boys fan. I think I've seen a picture of Chrissie with a Triumph or was it a BSA T-shirt? Their sound was similar to their sound. I once had a Triumph.

Yeah Mike, you can see there is a magnetic aura in the photo of the two standing.
Joachim, yes they did look good and when they came out they really embodied the look and sound of the day rock new-wave with a sense of rockabilly,
Triumphs are great machines. I had a 1973 Honda 350CL. Used to go off-roading back in college off of I-80 in Nebraska. Looked exactly like the one below.
Chrissie in her young days hired Hell's Angels bikers to do security. Back in her "ludes" days she got too friendly with them. The rest is history and is online if you care to know. _________________ ShoBud The Pro 1
