There's a Sierra D10 on Reverb and it's in OR. I'm in SWFL. Complicating matters is that I am new to this. I've been stung TWICE with total land fill guitars. I would PAY a tech or knowledgable player/nerd to GO there and check it out! Guys says "the only thing missing is one of the knee levers (available from Sierra made right here in Oregon"
Anyone interested? Or, perhaps you may "know this guitar" and can offer some thoughts...
Thank you all!
Todd

Looks clean but I'd at the very least ask for more photos showing the undercarriage, the changer end, the guitar front. Sierra Guitars are now made in Northern Calif, but I suspect you can still manage to get parts for the missing knee lever. Be aware Sierras, while built like tanks, also are heavy like tanks!
Hopefully some Portland or Eugene player with a kind heart and time on his hands will volunteer to check it out for you.
Good luck! _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

If you are looking for a steel, Bondz Music in Wildwood Fl would be a place to start. A little bit of a drive but worth it as you can look/feel and no shipping involved. Wildwood is exit 329 on I75.
Both the owner, Jonny Bondz, and the manager, Jr Reich, are steel players. Jr is also a steel guitar mechanic.
Phone 352-748-5048. Give them a call and check current inventory.
The Sierra company that made the guitar you linked has been out of business for a long time (10 years?). There is a new Sierra company but totally different guitar design and different location. |

What Landfill guitars have you gotten. They could be salvageable. There are certainly other guitars available closer than the other end of the county. Bondz did have a nice Sho-Bud D-10 last time I was there and I thought there was a recent post that they had 4 guitars in stock.
I'm in Orlando a couple weeks a month. _________________ '81 Sho-bud LDG, 2 EMCI's |
