From the 1994 International Steel Guitar Convention.
Doug was probably the first steeler to be able to play those lightning fast fiddle licks. He is a true favorite everywhere he plays.
I am proud to call him my friend.
Doug Jernigan - Steel Guitar
Bobby Caldwell - Guitar
Roy Rosetta - Piano
Dean Baxter and David Russell - Fiddle
David Smith - Bass
Jimmy Queen - Drums
Put on your headphones or turn up your stereo speakers and pretend you were sitting in the sound booth with me hearing and seeing this LIVE.

Nice work, Bill - many thanks for doing these!
Great set, packed house - Doug can play it ALL. One of the top three in the world IMHO.
Can’t make out what guitar he’s playing - was he playing Zum back then?
BTW Doug anchors an all-star band on RFD-TV’s weekly half- hour music variety program “The Merlin Gene Show.†It’s mostly classic country and Doug gets lots of camera time. Check your local listings. |
