Hey there fellas! My name’s Matt and I’m a 23 year old kid from New Mexico. I’m currently in the US Navy working as a Corpsman at Naval Medical Center San Diego. I started playing the steel guitar at age 19 when I worked at a pizza place called Dion’s in Albuquerque, scraping up money to afford a BMI from a local musician, John Feldman, whom I consider my teacher, this man knows just about anything that has to do with the steel guitar world and hems got great albums too! I then saved more money and in the meantime started making videos and Tracy Byrd happened to stumble upon one. He was playing at the local casino but I was too young to go, so the man helped me out and I got to meet Marty Broussard, who is his steel player, amazing man. Everything he plays is great, amazing timing, great tone, and perfect improv. I consider Marty as an inspiration, and I can’t believe it but he sold me his steel guitar he played that night and I paid it off in about a year and a half. I made more videos and gained a little more followers and I wanted to consider starting an album and this would be a track on it. I’m still in the concept stages of an album but I released the track yesterday. I’m going to be releasing different genre songs but I’m primarily focused on country.
This track is supposed to be country with a jazz feeling. I’ll definitely release more as time goes on and hopefully have a good amount of tracks before the year is over.
It’s not a project for me but my grandparents who live on the Navajo Reservation and for my tribe to be proud of. I would really love if y’all could give it a listen!

I appreciate the input! I spent hours coming up with an idea of what it would be! It made the end result worth it!
