Roy Carrol speaks truth. I too loved Ray and Bernice, great folks, and Ray's understated but totally in the pocket guitar stylings were so easy to work with. One of the least "flashy" but totally "right" pickers I'd had the pleasure of sitting next to. RIP Mr. Ray... _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Thank you for posting this remembrance of Ray. He was one of my favorites to listen to and play with. I agree fully with what Herb said. I had the honor to play once a month for many years with Ray and Bert Rivera and it always a treat to hear them work together. Ray was a warm and encouraging person and I miss him dearly. |
