I just wanted to show off my new Williams S10. I got this in preparation for when gigs start up again. My other guitar is a 70lb Mullen Pre RP D10 which I love, but it’s a lot to take around and impossible to fly with! This one is approx. 23lbs.

Not only does it look incredible but the improvements they made since I had a 400 series are understated. 4 raise 3 lower, as much as you can ask for. The string mounting on the changer has changed a bit, it now is inserted through the post, I always liked this design a lot, and makes a lot of sense to me. Bill did an excellent job with this one. Tuning compensators, F# lower compensators and raise helper springs all feel really nice. Just can’t say enough how much I appreciate Williams and how much attention to detail they put into everything.

Beautiful - Did Bill recently update his changer design?
Are the fingers anodized?

Looks like it. Not sure if the 700 series had 4 raise but mine didn’t back when I had a 400

Zena, my U12 that I got 2 years ago, which is a 700 series, only had 3 raise - 3 lower.

Either way, these are great guitars!

The changer fingers on 600 and 700 have been chrome plated heat treated steel alloy, which will never get grooves like aluminum fingers do. My 600 from 2006 that has been played a lot has no marks whatsoever. Those could be black chrome maybe?

Beautiful guitar, Zena! Looks like you might have Travis Toy's pedal setup there. Pedal 3 has compensators on strings 1 & 7?

Yes Jerry, it’s Travis’ setup exactly. Just giving it a try Smile I’ve been eager to get into the 9 and 6 lower he uses on pedal 1. Ive been using the Bb lower as pedal 0 for a while now and I would never go back. A and C have F# lower compensators. I’m still tweaking the setup a lot! One thing that the raise helper springs have been good for is getting the pedal travel down a lot without loading down the changer. For anyone that might be suffering from not enough feel because of them, I’ve found that it makes short travel feel great! No ankle fatigue after hours of playing.
