I've noticed that I never use the A->B raise on the C6th 4th pedal. I raise the high A to B on P7, and that has covered everything I need. So I'm thinking about changing P4 to mirror P6, raise the low E to F and lower the high one to Eb.
But I'm pretty much a newbie, and would appreciate advice to two kinds. First, what am I missing about the changes on P4? Has anybody got really cool things to do with it that I'm just not thinking of?
Second, is there some reason the "mirror image" of P6 would be less useful than it seems at first glance?
All advice cheerfully considered!

That's a very useful change. A lot of people have it on a knee lever. I had it on P4 for a while and it worked well. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

It's perfect on p4, often used with p5 to give upper inversion of p 5+6. Check out Buck Reid's C6 setup, he adds whole tone raise on s10 which gives a 2m besides the obvious 4 b7. And having F available on the 6th string gets you the missing melody root on your 5 chord! |

I raise both Es to F with pedal 4, but I recently put the standard As to B on a knee lever and have been finding some good uses for it too. but the low E to F is indispensable in my opinion. _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |

One consideration would be losing the half step interval you get between string 3 and 4 raised with p4, which for me is the only way to get a half step interval on C6. Of course, if you have a D on top you'd have D and Eb on string 1+2. |

Nicholi, that's why Buck has his 3rd string C-B change on a different knee than his 4th string A-Bb change. |

Now that I look at it i see five(?) half step possibilities. |

So I did that yesterday, and so far I think I like the change. Based on an hour or so of sitting improvising whatever I could think of, I seem to particularly enjoy having an F up higher.
But I always forget that even if the guitar is "easy" to work on, like my Mullen, there's an awful lot of stuff under there you've gotta get around, one way or another!
