Leo, I'm really bummed to hear this! Barbie and I were good friends over the years and did a lot of gigs together. As far as I can remember, she was about the only female vocalist to work at the Foothill Club without having to play an instrument too....., We had some great times down there and other places as well... She was also a fine bass player. Do you remember when she and Lou Martin had the "Double Delight" duo thing going? RIP "Shortcake"...JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Hey Jerry. Barbi,Lou & I were the " Crawfish Band " every Monday night for about two years at The Foothill Club. I gave it up to go on the road and Al Brown took my drumming job with them. That was also when I was working with you,Clark & Gino at D J Ranch in North Long Beach. Sad those days are gone, but, the memories live on. |

Sorry to learn of her passing. I did one gig with her, and she sat in on some gigs I was on. Sweet lady, bass player and singer! _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION
