Posted on FB. It's done with a lot of skill but not my cup of tea. Makes one wonder how this would look on a lap steel? '59 Jazzmaster.

Very cool! I think it has a lot of possibilities. Good luck and can’t wait to see it. _________________ Current Lap Steels: 1953 Supro |

What a terrible thing to do to a '59 Jazzmaster body. (Even one with a bad paint job). A lap steel like that could be fun, though. |

They just gave up on having the neck pickup I guess? All surf all the time! ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Waikīkī, at night when the shadows are falling

I don't have any problem refinishing beat up old guitars but I've seen more elegant painted guitars than this one. This Hawaiian fish hook design is much more in line with my taste.

That would make a fine steel, especially with no neck pickup dampening.
is the company that makes the square neck retrofit for Fender bodies. I thought the company was called lap dancer, but when I googled it, I didn’t see any guitar parts. |

The neck you are looking is called the "redneck" and you can find it on the site referenced.
