Hey you experts ...can anyone give me an estimated value for this guitar. In good condition but might be a "starter"...body isn't beautiful...but mechanically it compares to the Pro models with all the mechanics....push pull. just added an adjustable 4th leg feature so you can level it and stabilize it on any floor surface.

Thanks for your help....this guitar is for sale...along with a Carter Starter and a Innovative Fry Pan.

I'm certainly no expert, but I can state with confidence your guitar is a GS-10, the Emmons student model. Not the most attractive Formica-covered instrument ever made, but takes a back seat to nothing sound-wise.

I have no idea of the estimated value. I purchased my 3x1 GS-10 with bowlin' ball 'mica (looks just like yours) for $625.00 almost two years ago, but it was in pretty tough shape. I subsequently put a couple hundred dollars into it, having a premier push pull tech whip it into shape. No regrets.

Here’s a GS Emmons I dolled up I’m asking $1850 on the forum here an would miss her if she sold
This one I added 3 knees to make here a 3 an 4

If you want to keep her an add at least one knee to raise both E strings it’s as good as a pro model s10 in sound an playability has the same changer as a S10 pro Emmons push pull. An same changer as the C6th on a pro model.
With another knee added an set to play well she’s a 1100 dollar retail steel.

That there is a emmons student model

I play one as my main touring guitar.
They sound as good if not better than a pro model due to the shorter fingers and the changer mounted directly to the body.

The going price for these is around 900-1100 for 3&1 or 1200-1400 for a 3-3 or 3-4. Really great guitars.

Here’s a gs I dolled up that sold for $1400 shipped
3 an 4
4 real adjustable steel legs $175

4 buffed aluminum corners $50
Raised fret board $50
New buffed aluminum pedal board $100
3 new knees bought an installed $550

Fresh set up $150
$ Around $1075 in labor and parts.
Let’s see bought for $900 with one knee
Put $1075 in parts an labor that’s $1975
The GS netted me $1300 after free shipping.
I don’t think I will do another dolled up GS Emmons.
But I had fun doing the GS that’s cool. I’m not
Complaining just learning from my mistakes.
I’m happy my customer got a good deal!!

Dog gone Milke looks like we agree on value of a GS

Howdy....Folks....The Emmons GS-293 is no longer available.
It went to Jimmie Hudson of Hudson Steel Guitars.
I do have a Carter Starter for sale. I had for about 3 years...maybe played 1 hour over all that time.
Bought it from a friend that bought it new...tried to learn to play it....couldn't figure it out...so he sold it to me.
I want $950.00 for it or in the next couple weeks if it doesn't sell it will go as a trade in for a Steel Guitar Jimmie Hudson is building for me.
I'll ship FREE in the USA...any International buyers pay all shipping costs.
Regards,
Tom
