Hello Johnie, I have a nice trade but that MSA is pristine, and since it is a collector edition now that guitar goes for more than my GFI, my GFI was made in 2004, I would still have to come up with a thousand to buy it, which I am contemplating on doing. |

Forgot to mention come up with a thousand plus my trade, but I may still be short, you could get $5k easily Johnie for that MSA. |

Wow!! What a Beauty. Had one in a Bright Red back in middle eighty's. Built very good. Would stay in tune till the cows came home. A great working man's guitar. Served me very well for several years. Best of luck on you sale. J.R. Rose _________________ NOTHING..Sold it all. J.R. Rose |

The SS models are a nice guitar for sure. They made plenty of these guitars. They are not particularly rare but are IMO the best sounding model MSA ever made. And they play great. I’ve heard this particular guitar live several times being played by its previous owner and it is a good sounding guitar. |

Note thick neck on this beautiful guitar. Bud told me that they did that because it gave more sustain. And Wayne, your right it is SS for Super Sustain. And does it ever. J.R. Rose _________________ NOTHING..Sold it all. J.R. Rose |

J.R. I hope you are doing well! Just wanted to point out that the “SS†on the SS model stands for “Super Small†not “Super Sustainâ€. This is confusing because the words super sustain are printed on the SS model and other various MSA models, however that is not what the SS stands for. |

I still stand by what Maurice Anderson said to me he hoped these would become a collector's edition guitar because only few were made and sold before he had to shut down due to tax issues, but the XL series guitars are becoming more of a guitar sought after by collectors, but I hope the MSA SS will be also. |

Johnie, I would do a tear down and clean on this MSA SS you are sitting on a gold mine with that guitar, and I would remove those pickups and go Telonics X10, you will like it. |
