Hi - I’ve just had a strange situation arise with my old 400 and new 112. The reverbs on both amps are feeding back. Since it started at the same time I thought it must be something in the signal chain so I tried a Six string guitar Through both amps with and w/o volume pedal, switched out cables, tried different wall outlet. I took the tank out of the back of the 400 as I’ve seen folks do that in the past. Still feeding back.

I did read a thread in the forum where folks replaced the tank.

Has anyone experienced this and subsequently replaced the tanks with success?
Or possibly some other issue?

It’s really a moot point in a sense as I use a Strymon verb when playing out but the amps should work as is (especially the 112 which is brand new). Any info or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Eric

As they both started doing it at the same time, I would suspect something external is causing it. But it would have to be a strong electrical source.

Take one of the amps to a different area in the house (as far way as you can) and see if its still acting up. You don't need anything (guitar) plugged in.

I've seen a bad motor (noisy) such as a refrigerator motor, A/C motor, etc cause noise in the AC power line and cause noise in amps.

Thanks Jack. Makes sense. I’ll give that a try. I did go to another room but it may be same circuit so I’ll try another. Very possible that the AC’s we’ve been running as of late could be adding to that issue. Appreciate the feedback ! Eric

Hi Jack. Well I did one even further- took the amp to my brothers place. Definitely a different circuit. No feedback. I’ll have to isolate the source at my place. Thanks again. Eric
