Yamaha pm430 - $700 + shipping ***now $600 + shipping***

Everything is in perfect working order. A little scratch in some of the faders when being moved. Some electronic cleaner will do the trick.

It's been sitting untouched for about 15 years, until a few months ago. This thing has a great vibe to it. I never understood why these were so sought after until I got to play through one for a few shows.

Aside from some tape residue (photographed by the master faders) this thing is really clean and tight.

I'm reluctant to let it go, but it needs to be used more than what it gets here.

Willing to deliver/meet half way if within 100 miles or so of Portland OR,

Willing to entertain offers and trades ideas
I'm looking for...

- 4 string passive pickup bass, Fender-style jazz, tele p bass, mustang. or Epiphone Rivoli style. new or old. Valued between $200-$700.

- A good drum throne for PSG.

- A good volume pedal for PSG, I have a Goodrich and love it, except it is very loose to the touch. I also have an ernie ball jr, but those don't quite make the cut for PSG.

- Guitar pedals are always a good bargaining chip with me Very Happy

let me know what you got!

Thanks all!

- Foster

The transformers on the stereo outs give a good meaty solid sound. Some of their bigger boards back then had transformers on every input channel. You have to buy studio preamps now to get that same sound that cost a fortune. One channel of Neve or API cost as much as you want for the whole Yamaha board making it a good buy for pro sound. There's mods you can do to it to get even a better sound. The cool thing is it's built like a tank and it can survive gigging too.

I should post a picture of the inside. All you have to do is take two screws out of the bottom and the top opens up like a hood, and even has a stand to hold it open. I may end up taking this down and letting a friend borrow it for his studio... may never get it back tho 😅

It's a good mixer. I have a 80 year old friend that's an audio engineer in Nashville and use to mixing on boards that cost over a quarter million dollars but he still has his Yamaha just like yours. One day I saw it in his audio storeroom and asked him why he kept that old mixer and he told me why. He might have to go play a gig and it's studio sound in a compact mixer. Those things do have to be recapped every 10 years to maintain the original quality. They go bad just sitting in storage.
