Here's my attempt at writing out the solo from Jacks Truckstop and Café by Dale Watson , its about as close as my ears would let me hear it . There's a spot towards the end where I couldn't quite figure out the chicken pickin part . I put a box around it and was hoping one of you might have an idea what is being played there . And if anywhere else I have it wrong let me know . The solo starts at about 0:58 seconds in , thanks in advance !

so the start of the solo is string 8 picked. you are hearing an illusion of a slide from 6-8 fret. i first heard the D lever(E-Eb) 8th string pick then fast realease to 8th string C note...but quickly realized it is an illusion to my ears. it starts on string 8-8th fret picked in my opinion...it sounds nice with the d lever though...
pick 8th string up to 7-6B 45A
the problem area in the box i didnt get much time with I believe fret 20 to be strings 3 & 4 not 4 & 5 then 20 TO 18th fret to 16F. THE MORE TIME YOU SPEND THAT MIGHT CHANGE.
Im also hearing the part you have on 11th fret on the 10th fret the pitch on the recording is a 1/4 tep high... Im learning myself so dont ply around with pitch devices but im sure that pitches are not accurate on youtube. they have softwre and apps you can download on your phone to change pitch. I have only used them to slow speed not pitch. I will try to take time later to experiment with pitch and this song would love to help.

Cody, its not fret 20 strings 3,4
its strings 3,5 Fret 15AB THEN RELEASE PEDALS PICK fret 15, THEN SLIDE TO 13 PICK SLIDE 10AB PICK, THEN...I think 8A STRINGS 3,5. although could be the next note strings 5 only or 5,8n the 8th fret. hope this helps

Hey Chris thank you for your input and advice , I haven't had much of a chance to get on the internet so I apologize for the long time to respond . I'm gonna give it a go and see how it sounds with your route on the song . I'll report back on how it goes , that chicken picking part almost sounds good if you're in the right area and really get right with your blocking I've noticed
