Over 800 views and I guess no one knew Danny. He played all over with some top Singers from the 60s till just last year. He was an amazing Picker. His last work I saw was with the Denham Country Band in Louisville. Best Pedal Steel guitar and Singer in the area. Truly Classic Old School Country. And very nice Folks!!

Danny's telecaster was a perfect fit for anyone he played with. Check out Country Bumkin from way back on you-tube. Thats Danny with long hair and holding his LesPaul in his lap Classical Flamingo Style. He was one of a kind. He was always kind and caring to Me and I will miss seeing him play, and talking about his many Stories. Great talent gone. RIP Danny..

I'm sorry Eric. I did not mean to ignore your announcement. I don't always look at this board.

Yes, I met Danny and saw him play guitar at many of the steel club meetings.

I knew he was on the list for an organ transplant.

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. Condolences to the family as well.

Danny was one of the nicest men to ever walk the face of this earth, not to mention a very commercial and talented musician. I had the privilege of working with Danny many many times. And we would “sub” for one another if one of us got busy. Danny spent the last many years on the transplant list for a liver and kidneys both. During all of the dialysis, surgeries and hospital trips you NEVER heard Danny complain or say a cross word! In fact he would tell everyone “ If I can do anything for you you just let me know” And he meant it 100%! Danny was a true treasure and an incredible guitar player right up until the end. He will be extremely missed by all.
