I'm working on building a 7-string guitar with a Certano 2-string Bender. My current, un-bent, tuning is GM6/ C7. I haven’t decided on which pair of strings to bend yet, D&B or B&G; I need to do some experimentation first. Please let me know if you have an insight or opinion. Hi to Low:
G------> G
D++--> E
B+----> C
G++--> A
E------> E
C------> C
Bb----> Bb

Luke Cyrus Goetz is one of the most accomplished players on YouTube using benders. This is the 6-string D6/G tuning he uses:
D
A++ -> B
F#+ -> G
D
B
G

If you search here on the Forum for “multibender tunings” you’ll find more info on this topic. Also, check out Troy’s YouTube on playing with string benders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDZyqG0TGP0&t=25s

Interesting, so he starts out with b0b Lee’s 6 string tuning of GBDF#AD, and the benders allow him to bring it back to Dobro high G tuning

Hi Allan,
Yes!! It’s b0b’s D6/G tuning bent to G tuning. So you can see why my G6/C7 tuning, having similar intervals, works the same way with benders. I can go from G6/C7 to C6/9/7. So I’m probably going to use 2 benders, on my B&G strings.
