One has become available locally and i haven't been to see it yet, anybody have any experience with them?
I've only played vintage Weisennborn's and don't expect a cheap import to be like one very much but they sure look good.

Well, guess I'll have to try and go meet it then. My Oahu's have that territory pretty well covered but i might be able to trade something im not using for it, always room for another steel.

I had one for a few years.
It was the 'deep body' model and it did have a huge voice. It sounded very good.
The finish was OK. It had a few areas of orange peel etc.
After about 4 years it began separating at the upper left bout at the binding.
It got to be around 5 inches in length and about 1/8" wide.
It never left my music room which is kept at 50% humidity.
I donated it to Goodwill at the same time I sold about 1/2 my instruments because of our move to Minnesota this April.
It was just time to clean house.
