Guys, I'm trying to date my Emmons Legrande D-10 SKH
The SN# is 521L
Anyone know the year on this baby?
I'll be putting her up for sale soon and I'd like to be able to list the year.

| My eyes aren't what they used to be. Looks like a Lashley Legrande to me. Can't see the changer well enough to make the call. Assuming it is a Lashley. It was built or finished after the Lashley Legrandes were already being offered. Which was summer of 1986. The vast majority of the 1st edition Legrande's have a serial # lower than 400. Guitars with less popular colors often set on shelf for years after the mica was applied. Then when they got a call for that color. The guitar was completed. Hope this makes sense. |

| Can't see the changer very well. And it may just be my poor eyesight. But from the last picture it appears to be a short keyed Lashley Legrande, (long body of course) with a Legrande(short body) style changer. These were rare custom orders. But not unheard of. I've seen several LII's with a short head stock and heard of a couple of LIII's with the short head stock. The short keyed LII's I've seen all have the late type changer. |
