5-Knee Levers / 8 Pedals
The nicest Emmons I have ever owned.
Late 80's or early 90's
This guitar is absolutely stock and has 14 hole bell cranks
EVERY pedal and lever is operable and in perfect order.
Full C6 and E9 Emmons setup. Left levers raise and lower the Es. 5th lever is vertical (on the left) and lowers both Bs.
Right knee levers are setup as follows:
RKR is a Double-Stop on string 2 AND lowers string 9 1/2 step
RKL raises string 1 a full step, string 2 1/2-step and lowers string 6 1-full step
All the C6 Pedals do exactly what the Buddy Emmons chart says they should do. (but I don't play a C6)
There has been no fiddling around under the guitar. (see pics) except to possibly upgrade to Emmons 14-hole bell cranks if it was not issued that way.
The best I can figure is this is an 89' or 90' guitar.
It is the Emmons white wood-grain mica color (not positive what they called that), the chrome is excellent (see pics) pickups, switches and jacks are perfect and stock as well and I hear no noises happening when using the switch or tone knob. .
What I can tell you from playing it is that it keeps tune extremely well, appears to have always been kept in a smoke-free environment and properly lubricated although I'd have to say it has spent most of its life in the case. Very few signs of any use.
There is zero binding or noises when using any of the pedals or levers and cabinet drop is very very low if at all.
The case has been reworked professionally )vinyl, padding, supports, lining and latches) and there is no play (shifting around) in the case when transporting it.
I am selling it because I play very little these days and I certainly do not need a doubleneck Emmons just to fiddle around here at the house. I'm sure most of you guys are far better players than I am and could get more from this guitar than I can. If anything I will probably grab a Stage One and that'll be plenty for me.
Asking $3800 for the guitar + freight and insurance.

| Just sold a GFI Ultra D10 8/5 and have been looking for an Emmons D10. Didn't quite make enough to pull the trigger. Your Emmons guitar is pretty and I bet sounds wonderful. Good Luck |

I always liked the sound and mechanics of the better GFIs. I just couldn't "bond" with them. My friend Mike Sigler plays the heck out of his GFI Ultra tho.

| Beautiful guitar! FWIW this appears to be somewhat of a transitional guitar because that is definitely a Short Keyhead, but the changer is LL1 which is in line with the 14-hole bell ranks and short-lived “Lashley Legrande†logo on the front apron. The SKH’s should have a changer with a support between each finger, 4-hole bellcrank, and the logo would be “Legrandeâ€. Regardless I’ll bet this sounds like a million bucks! |

Thanks Brandon for the input. Nope, no question that she sounds like a million bucks. Especially when a good player is on her. I've always been partial to the Emmons sound. This is probably my 4th or 5th Emmons. I really wish I had kept my 1990 Legrand singleneck 3&5. We did a lot of gigs together. I'm just too old to haul a doubleneck around anymore. Take care.
